removing cover from honeywell ST799

Hi

I'm decorating and want to remove it from the wall. Any ideas how to remove the top cover so I can access the base?

They are very tricky to remove on the top toward the right there is a small screwdriver slot which you need to insert a screwdriver and press quite hard, there is another slot bottom left, do the same, whilst doing this with the other hand gently pull the whole clock forward.

It is a lot easier to refit as you just push the clock onto the base untill it "clicks".

P.S. Make sure you have turned off the power supply to the clock first as once removed if the plastic covers behind the clock are missing it will expose some live terminals!!! beware!
