hi I am having extension built at the moment but the problem I have is the old external walls are now the internal walls . The walls are constructed in lightweight blocks and I find when I try to remove the pebbledash it pulls big lumps out of the block and as these are on 4 inch I am concerned so I would like to know if there is something on the market that can be used to remove the stones if so any links would be helpful
thanks col
please please help with all suggestions

I'm with Corrie on this one too. I'd go for plastering the walls, (float and set). There's really no need to remove the p/dash,and as you said you are damaging your blockwork trying, so it's well keyed onto the wall. With lightweight blocks,it wouldn't take much to cause serious damage..... You could strap and plasterboard the old walls, then tape and fill, and even add some insulation in between the frame and the p/board.You will lose an inch or two of space this way,but that's the only drawback. Which ever way you choose, you'll have no problem working with the pebbledash left on.
