One of my many jobs i've created for myself is my bathroom. i want to remove the full lot of tiles from the plasterboard which is on studs. How to i go about doing this? Do i just smash it up or is there a safer way of doing it? There is obviously tile, adhesive, then plasterboard.

I am going to reboard with aqua panel for shower area

cheers

I think I would try to break through on one small area, and if your luck is in you may find the tiles and plasterboard coming away in big chunks. Avoid too much hammering which could cause ceiling damage if the tiles go right to the top.

Find stud and break out to left or right of it then you should be able to remove large section as the tiles tend to keep it in large pieces.Wear protection as tile shards cut like glass. If you have a multi tool or jigsaw you can cut thru grout lines making removal less messy.
