Removing two sockets from ring main.

I need to remove two sockets from the ring main , my question is , how to I join the main back together A to B? Is it appropriate to use a 30 amp junction box?
Is there a way to do it more discreetly without replacing that section of wiring? The entire ring is surface mount.

You could use JBs. They'll be on show so you might like to use ones like this

rather than the round ones.

You say the cables are on the surface - are they in trunking? If so you could crimp the joints together inside the trunking.

Use a crimper like this:

not like this:

If all the wiring is surface mounted then there is no excuse for not replacing the section of cable.

Thanks Bas, no trunking im afraid, just those pesky little nailed metal wrap clips type things and grey t+e nailed to the house timbers.
I think a new section of wire might be needed because there is nothing straight or flat enough to fix a junction box to.
