renalt scenic

Just bought a renalt scenic 1.9 dci sport. x-plate.
took it out for a spin and noticed the steering is very tight especialy at low speeds (parking ect). got told it could cost £500 to get fixed .also the speedo is not working correcty.
bought it privite.
have i got anychance of getting my £1500 back?
what can i do?
i know where he lives?

With a private sale I think you've got real problems here as its a case of buyer beware...you could try approaching him and see what he says. It depends on his moral concience really.
If he described the vehicle as perfect prior to sale, you have to prove that he actually said it.....
