I want to render an retaining wall, but would i need to seal the wall first & then what render mix should i use? once rendered, i want to paint, so what paint would be the best?
an earth retaining wall?.. you would need a 3:1 sharp washed sand-cement mix incorporating a waterproofer.
apply it in line with manufacturers recommendations and bob's your aunties live in lover.
only use standard trade matt emulsion to paint.
would i need to pre-seal the bare brick work? and yes, an earth retaining wall with no lining, etc on earth side.
I plan to put coping stones along the top of the wall, but there is a break in the wall for steps & therefore to get a nice square edge, do i need to use them steel corner/edging strips?
