Hi guys,

I have a 200 year old house. The render has blown around a window frame. I was told by a neighbour that Ill need to make up a lime/cement mix for the render (and then use a tyrolean gun to match it to the original wall). The wall is nearly all cob.

Does anyone on here have experience of rendering a cob wall? What sort of mix should I use? Is using a tyrolean gun easy and should I just use a cement mix in there?

Thanks

Don't mix lime render in a cement mixer, it collects into clay like balls, best to hand mix or use a paddle mixer.
