What's renovation insurance? Some kind of bridging insurance whilst work is carried out mebbe?

Can cover things like theft of tools from site, vandalism or collapse of the walls while you are underpinning them.

Are we talking a specific insurance or an ambiguous 'one size fits all'?

Sounds like public liability to me or am i missing summat?

I've personally never had that policy, but I think that it might be geared towards home owners doing their own major renovations, or self builds where they could stand to lose a lot of money.

this is sorted now . I was having trouble insuring the property whilst being rennovated unoccupied etc . managed to find one in the end for a reasonable price too
