We are in the process of refurbishing a house. It is rendered with very tough render in good condition. At some point in the recent past the brick ties have been replaced and the patches of removed render have been repaired and they do show up rather visibly. First attempts to create a better appearance are not going well! I would be most grateful for advice on how to get a better result either using standard sand/cement mixtures or with a proprietary system if such exists. I guess though that it is more about technique than materials.
