Hi

Our key wouldnt work in our door anymore so took it apart and found that a cog inside had been stripped, can I just replace a cog or will I need to buy the whole lock.

If you look at this pic you can see where the cog is broken.

The lock itself is riveted to a long bar which goes up the lenght of the door so if i need a new lock would i need to buy the whole lot including bar as it wont come off? heres a pic

Hi

There doesnt seem to be any markings on it at all, no name and no number.
Where is it likely to be ?

Thanks

found number inside lock but not sure of make or anything, so now what?

thanks

Might be an idea to buy a new lock because the cog wheel are normally compressed in by a special tool but take it down to your nearest dg unit spares/parts shop to see what they say.
