Hi,

I have a Worcester 24LE combi and 7 radiators.

As most of the radiators are pretty old I was thinking of replacing 3 of them.

I was wondering - when I take off the three radiators, drain them and replace them with new, the central heating system will now be 3 radiators full, short of water.

Do I need to add more water to the system?

I ask this because I've read a few online articles and DIY books on removing a radiator and none of them mention anything about topping the system back up.

Many thanks for any help,

Epp.

because you will valve off the rads. its unlikley that the system will need to be repressurized until you replace the new rads. then as mentioned. reconnect the filling loop and repressurize the system, rembering to vent the air from the rads and repressurizing again until correct system presure as per manu fac instructions.

Do a proper job drain the system and fit new rad valves with the new rads, it`l save pain in the long run.
