Hi all,

I'm currently starting work on modernising our bathroom and one of the first jobs is to replace the old worn out floor.

I have decided to replace the entire floor as this will be quicker and easier.

My question is what is the best material to use?

I would prefer not to use T&G boards as I have always found them to be a pain to remove and replace without damage, and it is likely that access will be needed in about 12 months time when we get some money together to build the porch.

Ideally I would like to use planned boards without the T&G, but not sure if there is a specification on the width depth etc.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Anyone got any suggestions on this. Will it be ok just to use standard 5 x 1 inch planned all round timbers? Or are there building regs for the spec of flooring materials?

Cheers.
