I've bought a new oven and had the previous one removed. The old oven was plugged into into a 45 amp dual pole socket/switch along with a hob that is hard wired.
Problem is the old oven has a wired plug that went through a tiny hole the from oven cavity to the socket . The new one has a moulded plug.
The hob is wired into a 30A junction box that goes to the dp switch.
Should I bore a hole big enough for the plug from the oven unit into the adjoining one? Would this be ok with the heat given off by the oven?
Or can I strip the plug and wire it into the 30A junction box along with the hub?
