Hi,

We recently had some work done on our house and the guys ladders broke a few of the fibre cement tiles right at the bottom by the gutter. Annoying, but as it was only a few broken I planned to just do it myself. Has to be done as the break means that the water will miss the gutter.

They're laid with hook fixings, like this:

I can't find any info on how to remove just a few fibre cement tile and replace. Can this be done? Is it done similarly to a slate roof? ie ripping the nails with a slate ripper and sliding a new slate in, and holding that with a strip of copper or lead?

Any help appreciated.

Yes same principal as slate but there is an extra course of unders normally to accommodate the rivets.
