I live in a ground floor, single occupancy flat, and would like to replace the door from the kitchen to the sitting room with one which has glass lights in - it is a bit gloomy in the afternoon.
I generally have the door wedged open so the cat can get to the the cat-flap in the door to the garden (which is in the kitchen).
Do I need to replace the door with a Fire Door, or will a standard interior glazed door be ok?
Could I just leave the door-frame with no door in it altogether. I have considered knocking the two rooms together - it is only a plasterboard partition which separates the two anyway.
