Hi.
Since I've had a conservatory built, my "external" kitchen door now leads into an internal area (the conservatory). The door is in need of replacement. What would be involved in changing the framing and threshold to take an internal door with a bathroom-style lock? I'd ideally like the threshold taken away to leave a flat-as-possible transition from kitchen to conservatory.
The current door is 78x33, the frame is 83x35 1/4.
One door fitter (from the local freebie newspaper) I phoned said I would be better off just buying a new external door.
