Hi all
I'm replacing the original Victorian floorboards (not tongue and groove) in my living room as they're in bad nick.
How can I best preserve the character when replacing - I'm assuming nailing to joists would be best as opposed to using screws?
Found some reclaimed floorboards but they are 2m long, whereas room is 3m long - will having multiple boards spanning the length caused any issues with floor strength?
Also want to minimise gaps between floorboards - any recommendations for new T and G floorboards that look the part?
thanks
Luke
