Hi, I'm planning on replacing my current Potterton EP2002 with the EP6002 for more flexibilty. Can anyone tell me if the backplate and wiring are the same for both controllers and it's just the front that'll be changed?

If it's of any use I have TRVs on all bar one radiator, a thermostat on my hot water cylinder and no room thermostat at all.

Thanks in advance,

David

Should be the same wiring, check the back of the two programmers, they should read as follows,

N L 1(HW OFF) 2(CH OFF) 3(HW ON) 4(CH ON)

Thanks Jon. I haven't actually got the EP6002 yet, I was enquiring to see if I could do it myself or if I'd need to get in someone who knows about these things... :D

If it's just a simple matter of swapping the faceplates then I'll do it but if wiring changes are required I'll get an electrician friend to do me a favour!

Thanks again.
