Replacing radiator on Potterton 28HE

Hi all,

Quick and easy one for you

When replacing a radiator on this system, I assume steps are as follows:

- Turn off mains water
- Remove radiator and drain water via this rad from system (if not, how do you drain?)
- Fit new rad
- Repressurise system
- Add inhibitor
- Bleed rad to ensure no air

Is that it?

(BTW - not doing it myself my DIY knowledge is zero, just want to ensure the bloke coming does it right!).

shouldn't need to.

Remove radiator and drain water via this rad from system (if not, how do you drain?)

turn off both rad valves, drain rad water into suitable recepticle. If it's a like for like swap no need to drain system.

Fit new rad

Repressurise system

Add inhibitor

yes

Bleed rad to ensure no air

Its not a like for like insomuch that its a smaller rad going in - still can be done without totally draining the entire system?
