Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate your advice.

The property (detached 3 bed) that I have moved recently has Thorn Olimpic 38/50B boiler.

I have recently been told that it is a rather old boiler, so I am thinking of replacing it for something more efficient.

I am not an expert in the area, so I would appreciate any advice/view on what possibly is the best replacement.

I will be thankful for thoughts.

Many thanks in advance.

It isn't just recommending a new boiler as there are many different makes and most pros on here have their favoured makes. More important is to get an old system modernised with the latest controls and to have it designed to suit your needs. That may be replacing with a combi, an unvented cylinder etc. Get a local heating guy round and get his advice. Simply recommending a boiler make/model is really not the best way to start.
