Replacing two way and one way switch

After spending all Sunday trying to sort this out to no avail if somebody can answer this I will donate £20 to Children in Need to keep missus off my back!!

Problem: I want to replace plastic switch with Brass one, Switch one (upstairs) switches on upstairs light only there are two cables one has two red wires and one earth the other has one red, one blue, one yellow and an earth On the rear of the new switch there is three terminals one marked common, one marked L1 and one marked L2 Question one which wires go where?

Problem 2; second Switch which is down stairs, lights upstairs light and downstairs light again there are two cables cable one has two red and one earth cable. Cable number two has red,blue, yellow and earth. On the back of this double switch there are (left hand side) Common,L1 and L2 and on the right hand side there are common, L1 and L2.

£20 to children in need for the correct answer!!!!

as you have brass switches you havent got enough wires.

you need an extra one from each switch plate (not the main connections) to the back of the box they will be mounted in. this wire must be green/yellow

as for the remainder do it tomorrow when you can do it under daylight with the mains off.
