Evening all. I have two wall lights in the bedroom which both come on at the same time when I use light the switch at the side of the bed (separate from the ceiling light). I have some lovely new wall light but they come with pull cords - can I just swap them out or will I need to change the wiring because the new ones have pull cords.

Many thanks in advance for your help :)

Why not just leave the pull cords in the ON positions, and use the original switch as before?

Hi, you can do a straight swop and use the existing switch as a master and switch the lights separately using the cords. Or remove the existing switch and put a blank plate in it's place.
