Hi,
I have a full set of original, matching, solid wood doors in my 1920's home. Unfortunatly some of them are not in good shape, either the tops or bottoms have been planed at odd angles to match the skewed frames.
The frames are being replaced as part of renovation work, so that they are all straight. Obviously this means the old doors will no longer fit. I've priced up replacments at around £200 each, although they aren't a perfect match.
Is it possible to repair the existing ones? i.e. taking out the damaged sections and replacing.
