For christ sake I bought this and the latch opens the wrong way. They don't appear to make bathroom sash locks for a left hinged door opening internally.

I've opened it up and sh1t springs out everywhere. Managed to get it back together in one piece but can't reverse the latch. E-mailed yale customer service but probably won't get a reply this week. Any ideas? Something I've missed ?

post some photos of the inside.

in some modern ones, you can pull the latch forward and rotate it, without needing to open the case. Will yours pull out?

Have you still got the instructions that came with it?

I don't think it's a yale as the case is not pierced for bolt-through furniture. It might be an Avocet.

As he^^^ said its usually possible to reverse the striker without taking it apart.

Put it together and take it back for an exchange.

Got no sympathy for you,you really buy stuff there ?

The lock latch as it's supposed to sit (spring not in place because I can't hold it down and photograph at the same without it springing up in my face) :

The instructions included with the lock will (well, should) supply the guidance on reversing the hand.
