Reviving internal woodwork

Our house has 100 year old skirting boards, wood work up the stairs, etc. When we moved it in we removed a hundred years of paint, and stained all the wood with teak oil.

It looked lovely at the time, but is looking a little dated now with 10 years of time elapsed.

I think if I use teak oil on it again, it will darken the wood which I don't want to do.

Sorry if this is really ignorant, but what's the best product to refresh the wood. Wax, varnish, an other product?

Know what you mean did that [minus the teak oil]

Can I suggest you lightly sand of the wood, removing top layer of patina then use wax ?

I used wax on the property I did, I feel that wax is a more "natural" material and tends to preserve the natural colour of the wood.

That product looks the part, seems like a softer to apply material than traditional bees wax and paraffin.
