I am intending to fit a single steel hormann up and over canopy garage door with steel frame.. On my own. Am i taking a chance with its weight and possibility of am accident?

Yep. Think you might be right. Pride can cloud the issue plus trusting people to do their jobs proper and got no mates who'll help
