Roof Eaves Design Detail

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good drawing for roof eaves design - cross section is ideal. I have been hunting around the internet and not really found anything that great.

I am looking for a drawing of a "cottage eaves" design with a new build cavity wall - this is where the brick courses step out at the top and there is no soffit or fascia board.

Where do you fix the gutter? Please don't say the top course....because surely that will pop the bricks and isn't very good practise.

Of course, brain isn't working at he moment! Although it presents another problem with eaves ventilation...........

I've never heard of "cottage eaves", so put that into Google and low and behold two sections came up straight away

Oversailing eaves is the term.

The gutter would be fitted on rise and fall brackets
