hello lads ive been away for a while just wondering if anyone can help me out. my father in law wants a remote room stat wiring in for his his boiler , at the moment the boiler a baxi (in kitchen) has a analogue timer clock wired underneath it, a switchmaster 400. is it a case of putting stat between the feed from clock to boiler ?

Yes, pretty much, the switchmaster will have a terminal marked 'CH ON' , adding the RF receiver's COMMON and ON (sometimes N/O) between will do what your after, perhaps consider a programmable room stat and leave the switchmaster in Heating Constant mode.

But its not always that simple, document how things are before you go changing them, so you can put things back if need be.

So you know, all central heating controls wiring is notifiable work under Part P of the building regulations.
