Hi

i recently got the outside of my house roughcasted with beige pebbledash, the external staircase wasnt done and so the brickwork is still exposed.

i have bags of the same roughcast/ pebbledash to do the job and feel quite confident enough to do it.

my question is how to i prepare the brick, do i mix a cement mix and scratch it and allow it to dry then apply another coat and then throw the pebbles at it before it goes dry? Also i wouldnt want the other coat to be grey cement colour as the pebble dash/ roughcast is beige and this would probably show through.

any help appreciated

thanks

You will need the same background as the rest of the building, is it sand and cement with a colour through it or a polymer thru colour that has been used.
