ROVER 600 P REG, DRIVERS ELECTRIC WINDOW US

Hi all can anyone help with the above. Tried the fuse as per owners book still waiting for the Haynes to arrive. Before ripping door panel off anything I should try. Please note passenger Window works fine.Rear windows are manual.

Could be anything, a broken switch, broken wire, broken motor or a jammed mechanism. You may be able to check the mechanism by accessing the door (be a bit careful that the glass doesn't drop). Anything wrong with the wiring and you will be better off with a schematic diagram.

yeah whip off the panel and put a multimeter on the motor wires, operate the switch and check for voltage,may just be a knackered motor

Thanks to both for your advice will get scewdriver out and attack the door panel.
