Hi can I ask if anyone has any experience with using a product called Rubbercrete http://www.rubbercrete.co.uk/index.php

The test results look impressive but I want to get real life feedback from people who have used it, how easy is it for a competent plasterer to use, is it effective at soundproofing, can it be used on ceilings?

Thanks all happy new year

Probably being a little harsh but.....
the website looks a little amateur, the email address contact is a personal one at ntlworld and it is manufactured in a single industrial unit - doesn't fill me with confidence the stuff has been widely tested/deployed.

I may be being a bit mean on a Startup trying a novel/eco-friendly idea, but thought it worth pointing out.

Well worth pointing out. ;) I would like to see a wall finished with the product, although it seems it's just an undercoat plaster, to be finished off with either multi or board finish.

Roughcaster.

There is a video from the sister company.....

Mind you, would like to know what was in the white sealed paper bag - gypsum plaster/board adhesive to add to the rubber fragments? ;)

On a lighter note, the video wasn't as much fun as TrowelMonkey1's mate from YouTube

yes the walltransform.co.uk is the main website actually, you can see the BBA certification which I understand is hard to get. Its just such a relatively unknown product in the building world I had to ask if anyone has actually used it.

BBA certs are often 'bought' as a part of a parent company and used for other 'partner' companiies. So not an exact 'proof of perfect' assurance.

The system is pretty much unknown and as mentioned above a bit unusual in its presentation. (Love the posh Geordie accents).
