Hi all, need a it of advice. Trying to fit a new power socket in the living room but trying to spur off the original socket in the corner. The wall is dot & dab, but the original socket is totally surrounded by adhesive, is it possible to drill a channel in the adhesive and run the cable through this and clip it too the block?

Nothing wrong with running the cable in that way, but you need to be sure the socket you are spurring off is not already a spur from a ring. You also need to keep your cable route within the safe zone created by your existing and new socket.

Yes the socket is on the ring and I'm running it horizontally for a new socket. Just wanted to make sure it was OK to run in througj the adhesive
