It is more important that your system is cleaned out properly on any installation of radiators, boiler etc.
It is also important that a corrosion inhibitor is added and maintained at the correct concentration for the volume of your system.
This can take time and cost money and is usually one of the reasons some quotes for work are higher than others but the job done will probably be more thorough and professional. The problem is people penny pinch on installation but don't see the down side till months or years down the line when it's too late.

It really depends on what is causing the corrosion. If there is a slight weep on the valves then the Rad can rot from the outside. Alternatively, as past3bar said a clean system with correct concentration of inhibitor is important, otherwise a dirty system means rad's can rot from the inside out.....
