Salamander Flange Low Hot Water Pressure

I recently fitted a shower pump to my gravity fed dometic hot water system using a Salamander S Flange to connect the pump to the HW cyclinder head. The shower is fine but the HW pressure in the whole house has gone down significantly. I have 28mm pipework to the main HW system from the top flange entry and 22 mm from the side entry to the pump . Is this a common problem with these flanges and anything I can do to fix it ?

check for airlock in pipework first.

I've tried to clear any airlocks a few times now by pushing cold water into the downstairs hot water tap but it hasn't made much difference . Anything else I can try ?
