Doing a barn conversion at the moment, and the customer would like downlights in the kitchen and living rooms. (Please dont get on the argument of how cr@p they are!!) If CFL lamps are fitted will the building inspector say this is OK as far as low energy lighting. I know very often those rubbish 3 pin bayonet lamp holders are used in new builds because of this.
Another option for lighting was the LV rails suspended between the beams with LV halogen or LED lamps clipped to it.
