I committed a sin, I didnt water the fertiliser into my grass properly and now have some scorched areas. Will I need to reseed or will it come back to being green!!??

Depends, what sort of fertiliser was it? If it was an ammonia based fertiliser, probably not.

Tip: Sprinkle a small amount of Sulphate of Ammonia onto a dandelion crown in a lawn, and burn it clean out! You'll have to re-seed, but the dandy will be gone!

What you'll probably have to do is scarify it a bit, then re-seed, otherwise you run the risk of weed seeds or moss taking over the affected area.

Hi,

I am no gardener, but this time 2 yrs back I had the same problem.
Broke up the surface and seeded the patches in a layer of compost, it worked a treat, to my surprise !
Cannot normally see the joins today ... The different grasses become noticeable in length only, after a lengthy gap in mowing.
