Scrapping A Fortic?

I've never taken a Fortic to the scrap merchants before.

If I take off the ball-valve, drain cock, immersion element and large plug on the side, will they accept the tank as copper? Or are there more non-copper parts inside that need to be removed before?

Take it as it is and see the tenners stack up! You could take any insulation off if you like, some scrap yards prefer this, but some insulation can be hard to shift, messy and a pain to dispose of.

its classed as brazing, because of the joints, so leaving the ballvalve in won't affect the price, expect £35 minimum,
