I recently purchased Polycell Squeeze & Seal sealant as I wanted to re-seal the sink surround, I just wondered if anyone could come up with an easy method so that it looks as neat as it can be.

This particular sealant didn't require a gun, so after I inserted some sealant I used my finger to smooth it over, then a damp cloth to wipe away any remaining sealant from top and bottom to try and make it look straight and neat, but like I say I wonder if someone has a trick of the trade to do all this speedy with a good end result.

for me... i'd put masking tape down either side... put in the sealant, spit on your finger and use it to get the best finish... leave ages and take off the tape (with a sharp knife if necessary) but no damp cloth.... should look good !!

I lift the sink, then apply sealant, tighten sink in place, so sealant is squishing out around the rim of sink, leave to dry, then cut it with blade tight up to the edge.
Then peel the surplus away.
