Hi,

We have installed a new DPM to an existing property and layed the slab on top.

As we cannot lap the sheet through the walls as in a new build, what is the best way to 'seal' the damp course.

Do i just leave the sheet up the walls and tuck it under the plastering or should it be glued in some way to the walls forming a seal?

I have seen some rooms in the past that look like they have glued the DPM to the wall with what looks like bichumen, shoukd i be looking to do this?

thanks.

Just lap it up past the dpc by an inch or so. It will only end up being punctured by the skirting board fixings in any case.
