Sealing Sandstone Flags

Hi Folks ,
Can anyone reccomend a good quality sealer for my new sandstone path and patio .

Also , what are the pro`s and cons of using mortar to point the gaps , as opposed to the two part epoxy type materials that are sometimes used . One of our friends used something called Resiply .
