I've had a security light outside for twelve years, and replaced it when necessary. The latest replacement is triggered when the kitchen light is switched on. I reduced the sensitivity but that makes no difference. Am I missing something? auldreekie
Is it that the sensor is picking up the kitchen light or is it something to do with the switching that make the security light come on?
Normally when you purchase new PIR lights, the manufacturer supplies within the box, a plastic cover for sensor lens, that can introduce blind spots to the sensor, maybe worth making the kitchen light area a blind spot or adjusting the sensor detection area. A bit a black insulation tape can also be used to cover parts of the sensor lens.
