I have a Vaillant EcoTEC Plus 428 boiler with a wireless VRT360f/VR65 timer setup fitted to a 4 bed 1930's semi, double glazed and lots of loft insulation. there is also a solar system via a pump station into the DHW twin coil tank.

question is what it the best way to set up the hot water and heating on the timer, ie at the moment I have the HW coming on pretty much the same time at the heating. I have heard that you should just leave the hot water on all through the day, say 6am until 10/11pm at night.

any thoughts, hints or tips?

cheers,

Mark

Must depend on your water usage.
I have my water on before the heating & after the heating, this way there is always hot water.
