I already have an outdoor socket on my house but would rather put a socket in my shed as the location of the existing socket is pretty poor.

Is there any reason why I cant just remove the existing outdoor socket extent the wires to the shed and install a socket in there?

and if this is possible is there anything I should be aware of and avoid?

Well, you will need to think about how you are going to take the supply to the shed.

SWA Buried? SWA clipped? Singles in conduit? T&E in conduit?

Attention to depth and protection of buried cable

Will need to be RCD protected, the socket will need to be of a suitable IP rating (possibly)

I do believe this is also notafiable!?
