Hi All,

I just wanted to know whether if one is changing floor joists + floorboards in a bathroom if a DPC roll is required between the joists and the wall.

The bathroom suffered from dry rot and previous water leak. Once new joists are fitted + floorboard, cement board will be installed and tiling installed as well.

Lastly, is it possible to have some kind of antifungal treatment on the bathroom walls, the walls will be re-plastered before tiling ?

Is a flexible adhesive/grout also required here ?

Thanks in advance.

First floor or ground floor bathroom?

What is the make-up of the walls?

In a lot of cases a lack of insulation is the prime cause of mould/damp.
