i live in a flat with gas central heating. it's a Halstead Quattro boiler (don't know whether it's sealed or not, but would guess not as it does my hot water too).
the boiler, and plumbing, has been making noises ever since i've lived here (6 months). always sounds like there's air running through the system as it makes bubbling noises all the time. one of the radiators even sounds like a stream. had a look on the british gas website yesterday, and it said that if the top of my radiators are cold and the bottom hot i should bleed. turns out they needed bleeding, so i bled them.
only 2 of the 11 radiators actually bled water (after some hissing), the rest just hissed and then stopped hissing, but no water! a while later i would hear some bubbling through the system and they would hiss some more... still no water.
just woke up to find that the boiler isnt working, has a red light glowing with LOCKOUT written underneath it. in a moment of inspiration i pressed the reset button. nothing.
i thought bleeding the system would be harmless - guess i was wrong. i know nothing about boilers, so any help would be appreciated.
cheers
