Should I swap my Stuart?? Showermate pump for a Salamander?

Having troubles with our new and very noisy Stuart (can't remember second name of brand!) Showermate pump... Salamander pumps claim to be "whisper quiet" (mind you, can't help thinking it must be a stage whisper...). Would swapping one for the other make a big difference? I know shower pumps produce some noise, but ours is unbearable.

FYI: The shower pump is in the airing cupboard on the wooden floorboards with a rubbery mat underneath it - it needs to drive two showers.
