Hi all,

I am building a studwork frame in a bathroom to conceal a hidden cistern. I am also building a studwork false wall to accomodate pipework which will be directly behind the bath.

Should I construct both of these in treated sawn timber or just normal PSE.

Thanks

Dan - general rule of thumb:

any chance of damp or condensation use treated, any/all new structural work in old houses use treated (bug infestation risk), anything touching an outside wall (or similar) use treated.

We use treated in all situations - the cost differential over untreated isn't that great.
