Hi, we had a vented boiler converted to combi, this included upgrading a previously internal pipe to 22mm externally. The old pipe served only the boiler as we no longer have a gas oven, hob or fire. I told the fitter he didn't need to keep the old pipe live from the meter.
I'm surprised that the old pipe hasn't been capped given that all other escape routes to the inside of the property are bunged with foam or putty. I don't know if the old boiler end is capped as it's hidden in boxing I can no longer remove due to new water connections to the boiler. It was a rush job as they squeezed a 2 day into 1
Should it be capped? If I get them out is putty enough or does it need a solder cap?
Thanks
