Hi guys & girls,

We have a Mira Event XS Thermostatic shower. Yesterday it started dripping from the shower head. I changed the washers in the shower head cable and also at the box end, still dripping. Called a plumber out (no call out charge). He looked at it and said it was the Solenoid Valve Assembly. I ordered one form Mira. £37 including VAT & delivery.

Waiting for it to arrive, will then call the plumber out to fit it. Will charge me £40 to fit it.

Is it easy to fit my self?

Still waiting for the valve to arrive.

Many thanks.

(Great forum by the way) :)

Plumber been, fitted the solenoid valve, dripping has stopped. :)

However, just noticed now the shower is running hotter than it use to and when turned onto the coldest setting, it's still warm.

Any ideas? has he done something wrong?

Please advise..need a cool shower
