I’m going to be fitting a our new bathroom over the coming weeks and need advice about the best material to use above the shower enclosure. I’m building a stud wall for the shower enclosure and using Wicks Aquapanel screwed directly to the studs, above the shower I want to build something suitable to hold the extractor fan / light:

Ideally I want to be able to access the side panel of the boxing above the shower so I’ve considered using white faced hardboard as it will bend to the shape on the shower tray curve and it cheap / easy to replace. But the actual base of i’m not sure on as it’s directly above the shower but need a good even painted finish on it.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

I would go for 6mm moisture resistant MDF for the curved section and either the same onto battens or plasterboard for the soffit.
